Discovering Oahu Hawaii

Growing up, my parents never really took me to the ocean. I can’t really remember a time where we all just spent a day at the beach. If anything, I have high school memories with friends being spent at the beach. What we did have a lot of was those power steel frame above ground swimming pools. Every summer we would get a new one.

However, pools always seemed to bore me. I would get in, hang out, and within a few minutes, I was bored. Perhaps, I’m just weird, but it never entertained me.

Oddly enough now, as I seek adventure and see these videos, I am noticing how present the beach is in my life, and how much I enjoy it.

It feels so good to be lost in the right direction 😎 #travelingsue #latinabloggers

During this second part of Oahu, Hawaii, C & I drove around the island and continued to capture Oahu’s beauty. One of our stops was at Waimea Valley, which is a botanical garden, and you walk for about 3/4 of a mile until you get to their beautiful waterfall area. Here is where you’ll get a laugh out of my swimming skills (or lack of).

It was 23 degrees in Dallas… it certainly did make me miss Hawaii's beautiful ☀️#travelingsue
